This “cascade red fox" (Vulpes v. cascadensis) was spotted over the weekend at Mount Rainier National Park, in Washington state, USA, sporting a unique coat. The mixed charcoal and reddish coloration is typical of the red fox population in the park.

Movember Day 13: FANTASTIC MR FOX, and he is SO fantastic! Foxes are the only type of dog (yes foxes are a member of the dog family) capable of retracting their claws like cats do. Foxes also have vertical pupils that look more like those of cats than the rounded pupils that other dogs have.
I said I was going to take a step away from mammals. After some thought, I decided that the animal I was going to draw next could be bigger than a fox. Plus foxes are awesome and lots of fun to draw!
If you have been enjoying the illustrations so far it would be amazing if you could take the time to sponsor me or spread the word. Thanks!
